Project Summary
A completely off-grid solar power system was designed and installed for a remote property in the hills of Kenwood. The system supports lighting, refrigeration, large pool, irrigation to vineyards and device charging, giving the owner full energy independence in a sustainable, eco-friendly setup. It uses 40KWh of battery storage and smart energy management for reliability.
Our Approach
We custom-designed the array and battery bank based on the property’s elevation, shading, and expected load. The equipment was transported in segments due to limited road access. We used rugged, weather-resistant components suitable for remote conditions, ensuring year-round energy availability in a self-contained system.
Challenges
120' Trench in a rugged terrain to run electrical from main home to garage where QCell Batteries were installed. There was limited wall space on this property and we needed to ensure the batteries were not getting southern sun exposure. Trench took several days to complete with changes required by county inspectors.
